Sec. 401. Customer service study and report

The Board of Governors of the Postal Service shall conduct a study on the customer service of the Postal Service, including— the training of customer-facing employees of the Postal Service at facilities operated by the Postal Service, the primary function of which is to provide retail postal services; and the flexibility of the facilities described in paragraph
(1)to allow for the cross-training of customer-facing employees of the Postal Service during peak hours. Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, the Board of Governors of the Postal Service shall submit to Congress a report on the study required under subsection (a), including— the current methods for measuring the customer service of the Postal Service; recent customer service performance; and strategies to enhance customer service.
