Section 2976(f) of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 ( 42 U.S.C. 3797w(f) ), as amended by section 106, is amended— in paragraph (3)(C), by inserting mental health services, before drug treatment ; and by adding at the end the following: target offenders with histories of homelessness, substance abuse, or mental illness, including a prerelease assessment of the housing status of the offender and behavioral health needs of the offender with clear coordination with mental health, substance abuse, and homelessness services systems to achieve stable and permanent housing outcomes with appropriate support service. .
Section 211(b)(2) of the Second Chance Act of 2007 ( 42 U.S.C. 17531(b)(2) ) is amended by inserting , including mental health care after community .
