Sec. 119. Strategy for the Middle East in the event of a comprehensive nuclear agreement with Iran

The Secretary of State shall, in coordination with the Secretary of Defense, other members of the National Security Council, and the heads of other appropriate departments and agencies of the United States Government, develop a strategy for the United States for the Middle East in the event of a comprehensive nuclear agreement with Iran. The strategy shall include the following: Efforts to counter Iranian-sponsored terrorism in Middle East region. Efforts to reassure United States allies and partners in Middle East.
Efforts to address the potential for a conventional or nuclear arms race in the Middle East. Not later than 60 days after entering into a comprehensive nuclear agreement with Iran, the Secretary shall submit the strategy developed under subsection
(a)to— the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Relations, and the Select Committee on Intelligence of the Senate; and the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives.
