During fiscal year 2017, on the date on which a request is made for a transfer of funds in accordance with section 1017 of Public Law 111–203 , the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection shall notify the Committees on Appropriations of the House of Representatives and the Senate, the Committee on Financial Services of the House of Representatives, and the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs of the Senate of such request. Any such notification shall include the amount of the funds requested, an explanation of how the funds will be obligated by object class and activity, and why the funds are necessary to protect consumers.
Any notification required by this section shall be made available on the Bureau’s public Web site.
