Section 105 of the Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness Act ( 42 U.S.C. 10805 ), as amended, is further amended by adding at the end the following: The Assistant Secretary shall establish an independent grievance procedure for the types of claims to be adjudicated, at the request of persons described in subsection (a)(9), through a system’s grievance procedure established under such subsection. .
