Section 30305(b) is amended by adding at the end the following: The Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration may request the chief driver licensing official of a State to provide information under subsection

(a)of this section about an individual in connection with a safety investigation under the Administrator’s jurisdiction. .
