Section 229(e)(4) of the Motor Carrier Safety Improvement Act of 1999 ( 49 U.S.C. 31136 note) is amended— by striking 50 air mile radius and inserting 75 air mile radius ; and by striking the driver. and inserting the driver, except that a State, upon notice to the Secretary, may establish a different air mile radius limitation for purposes of this paragraph if such limitation is between 50 and 75 air miles and applies only to movements that take place entirely within the State. .
