Section 120(c) of title 23, United States Code, is amended— in paragraph
(1)in the first sentence— by inserting (including pedestrian hybrid beacons) after control signalization, ; by inserting roadway improvements that provide separation between pedestrians and motor vehicles (including medians and pedestrian crossing islands), after safety rest areas, ; and by inserting safe routes to schools, after crossing closure, ; and in paragraph (3)— in subparagraph (A)(ii) by inserting engineering, or design approaches, after technologies, ; and in subparagraph (B)— in clause
(iv)by striking or ; in clause
(v)by striking the period at the end and inserting ; or ; and by adding at the end the following: contracts for engineering and design services as described in section 112(b)(2). .
