The Bretton Woods Agreements Act ( 22 U.S.C. 286 et seq. ) is amended by adding at the end the following: The Secretary of the Treasury shall, not less frequently than annually, submit to the appropriate congressional committees and make available to the public a report on the costs and benefits to the United States of participating in the Fund that includes an assessment of valuation gains and losses in the reserve position of the United States in the Fund. In this section, the term appropriate congressional committees means— the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, the Committee on Foreign Relations, and the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate; and the Committee on Financial Services, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives. .
Section 504 of H.R. 3425 of the 106th Congress, as enacted into law pursuant to section 1001(a)(5) of Public Law 106–113 (113 Stat. 1501A–317), is amended by striking subsection (b).
