Title XVI of the International Financial Institutions Act ( 22 U.S.C. 262p et seq. ) is amended by adding at the end the following: Not later than December 31, 2014, and annually thereafter, the President shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees and make available to the public a report on bilateral and multilateral debt reduction activities that includes a description of the following: Debt relief provided by the United States as a member of the Paris Club of Official Creditors during the fiscal year preceding the submission of the report.
Debt cancellation carried out pursuant section 501 of H.R. 3425 of the 106th Congress, as enacted into law pursuant to section 1001(a)(5) of Public Law 106–113 (113 Stat. 1501A–311), during that fiscal year. Bilateral debt reduction activities expected to be carried out during the fiscal year in which the report is submitted. In this section, the term appropriate congressional committees means— the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, the Committee on Foreign Relations, and the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate; and the Committee on Financial Services, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives. .
Section 501 of H.R. 3425 of the 106th Congress, as enacted into law pursuant to section 1001(a)(5) of Public Law 106–113 (113 Stat. 1501A–311), is amended by striking subsection (j). The President shall not be required to submit to Congress any report on bilateral or multilateral debt reduction activities for fiscal year 2013 or any fiscal year thereafter under any other provision of law that substantially duplicates the matters required to be included in the report under section 1629 of the International Financial Institutions Act, as added by subsection (a).
