Sec. 617. Expansion to all reserve components of stipend for registered nurses in critical specialties under health professions stipend program

Section 16201(d) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in paragraph (1), by striking subparagraph
(B)and inserting the following new subparagraph (B): is eligible for appointment as a Reserve officer for service in a reserve component in a Nurse Corps or as a nurse; and ; and in paragraph (2), by striking subparagraph
(B)and inserting the following new subparagraph (B): the participant shall not be eligible to receive such stipend before being appointed as a Reserve officer for service in the Ready Reserve in a Nurse Corps or as a nurse; and .
