Section 339 of the Older Americans Act of 1965 (42 U.S.C. 3030g–21) is amended— in paragraph (1)— by striking solicit and inserting utilize ; and by inserting , to help achieve development of evidenced-based and cost-effective nutrition services after nutritional services ; and in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph (A), by amending clause
(iii)to read as follows: to the maximum extent practicable, are adjusted and appropriately funded to meet any special health-related or other dietary needs of program participants, including needs based on religious, cultural, or ethnic requirements, ; in subparagraph (J), by striking and at the end; in subparagraph (K), by striking the period and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: where feasible, encourages the use of locally grown foods in meal programs and identifies potential partnerships and contracts with local producers and providers of locally grown foods. . Section 339 of the Older Americans Act of 1965 (42 U.S.C. 3030g–21) is amended— by inserting before A State the following: ; and by adding at the end the following: Funds appropriated to carry out this part may be used for transportation costs that can be demonstrated to be directly related to the provision of services specified in this part. .
