Section 10101(a) of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993 ( 30 U.S.C. 28f(a) ), as amended by section 430 of the Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2012 (division E of Public Law 112–74 ; 125 Stat. 1047), is further amended— in paragraph
(1)in the first sentence, by striking on the first place it appears and inserting before, on, ; and in paragraph (2)— by striking located the second place it appears; by inserting at the end of the following: Such claim maintenance fee shall be in lieu of the assessment work requirement contained in the Mining Law of 1872 (30 U.S.C. 28 to 28e) and the related filing requirements contained in section 314(a) and
(c)of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 ( ; and 43 U.S.C. 1744(a) and (c)). by striking
(a)in the first sentence and inserting (a)(1) .
