Section 103 ( 29 U.S.C. 723 ) is amended— in subsection (a)— by striking paragraph
(15)and inserting the following: transition services for students with disabilities, that facilitate the transition from school to postsecondary life, such as achievement of an employment outcome in competitive integrated employment, or pre-employment transition services described in section 114; ; by redesignating paragraphs
(17)and
(18)as paragraphs
(18)and (19), respectively; by inserting after paragraph
(16)the following: customized employment services; ; in paragraph (18), as redesignated by subparagraph
(C)of this paragraph, by striking the and at the end; in paragraph (19), as redesignated by subparagraph
(C)of this paragraph, by striking the period and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: mentoring services. ; and in subsection (b)— in paragraph (2)(A), by striking the second sentence and inserting Such programs shall be used to provide services that promote integration into the community and that result in competitive integrated employment, including supported employment and customized employment. ; and by striking paragraph
(6)and inserting the following: Consultation and technical assistance services to assist State educational agencies and local educational agencies in planning for the transition of students with disabilities from school to postsecondary life, including employment. .
