Section 6(c)(5) of the Commodity Exchange Act ( 7 U.S.C. 9(5) ) is amended— by striking
(5)and inserting the following: Subpoena.— For For ; and by adding after and below the end the following: An order of the Commission authorizing the issuance of a subpoena— shall state in good faith the purpose of the investigation; shall require only the provision of information reasonably relevant to that purpose; and shall not be for an indefinite duration. An order issued under this paragraph may be renewed only by Commission action. .
