Section 44310 of title 49, United States Code, is amended— by inserting
(a)before In General.— The authority ; by striking this chapter and inserting any provision of this chapter other than section 44305 ; and by adding at the end the following new subsection: The authority of the Secretary of Transportation to provide insurance and reinsurance for a department, agency, or instrumentality of the United States Government under section 44305 is not effective after December 31, 2018. .
