Section 219 of the Duncan Hunter National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2009 ( 10 U.S.C. 2358 note) is amended— by redesignating subsections
(b)and
(c)as subsections
(c)and (d), respectively; and by inserting after subsection
(a)the following new subsection (b): Subject to the provisions of this subsection, funds available under a mechanism under subsection
(a)for specific laboratory infrastructure revitalization projects shall be available for such projects until expended. Funds shall be available in accordance with paragraph
(1)for a project referred to in that paragraph only if the congressional defense committees are notified of the total cost of the project before the commencement of the project. Funds may accumulate under a mechanism under subsection
(a)for a project referred to in paragraph
(1)for not more than five years. Funds shall be available in accordance with paragraph
(1)for a project referred to in that paragraph only if the cost of the project does not exceed $4,000,000. . Subsection
(d)of such section, as redesignated by subsection (a)(1) of this section, is amended by striking September 30, 2016 and inserting September 30, 2020 . Subsection
(b)of section 219 of the Duncan Hunter National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2009 ( 10 U.S.C. 2358 note), as added by subsection (a)(2), shall apply with respect to funds made available under such section 219 after the date of the enactment of this Act.
