(1)A person commits the crime of reckless operation of a tank vessel if, while
(a)navigating a tank vessel,
(b)piloting a tank vessel, or
(c)on the vessel control bridge and in control of the motion, direction, or speed of a tank vessel, the person, with recklessness as defined in RCW 9A.08.010 , causes a release of oil.
(2)Reckless operation of a tank vessel is a class C felony under chapter 9A.20 RCW.
