In each fiscal year commencing upon satisfaction of the applicable conditions in RCW 74.60.150 (1), $2,040,000 must be distributed from the fund and, with available federal matching funds, paid to hospitals eligible for small rural disproportionate share payments under WAC 182-550-4900 or successor rule. Payments must be made directly to hospitals by the authority in accordance with that regulation. The authority shall provide a report of such payments to the Washington state hospital association within 30 calendar days after payments are made. Any unused funds remaining under this section shall be retained in the fund described under RCW 74.60.020 and used to reduce future assessments.
