By July 1, 2024, the department and the department of labor and industries must jointly establish a formal agreement that identifies the roles of each of the two agencies with respect to the oversight and enforcement of RCW 70.41.420 (4)(a) and
(12)and 70.41.425 (1), (4), (5), (6)(b), and (7), as follows:
(1)To the extent feasible, provide for oversight and enforcement actions by a single agency, and must include measures to avoid multiple citations for the same violation; and
(2)Include provisions that allow for data sharing, including hospital staffing plans, reports submitted under RCW 70.41.420 (7), and hospital staffing committee complaints submitted to the department.
