(a)This title may be cited as the Uniform Commercial Code.
(b)This Article may be cited as Uniform Commercial Code — General Provisions.

Application — 2012 c 214: "This act applies to a transaction that is entered into, a document of title that is issued, or a bailment that arises on or after June 7, 2012. This act does not apply to a transaction that is entered into, a document of title that is issued, or a bailment that arises before June 7, 2012, even if the transaction, document of title, or bailment would be subject to this act if the transaction had been entered into, the document of title had been issued, or the bailment had arisen on or after June 7, 2012. This act does not apply to a right of action that has accrued before June 7, 2012." [ 2012 c 214 s 1803 .]
Savings — 2012 c 214: "A transaction that is entered into, a document of title that is issued, or a bailment that arises before June 7, 2012, and the rights, obligations, and interests flowing from that transaction, document, or bailment are governed by any statute or other rule amended or repealed by this act as if amendment or repeal had not occurred and may be terminated, completed, consummated, or enforced under that statute or other rule."
