By July 1, 2024, the department and the department of health must jointly establish a formal agreement that identifies the roles of each of the two agencies with respect to the oversight and enforcement of RCW 70.41.420
(7)and 70.41.425
(1)and (5)(b), as follows:
(1)To the extent feasible, provide for oversight and enforcement actions by a single agency, and must include measures to avoid multiple citations for the same violation; and
(2)Include provisions that allow for data sharing, including hospital staffing plans, reports submitted under RCW 70.41.420 (7), and hospital staffing committee complaints submitted to the department of health.
