A vehicle operated as a limousine under *chapter 81.90 RCW before April 1, 1996, may continue to operate as a limousine even though it may not meet the definition of limousine in RCW 46.04.274 as long as the owner is the same as the registered owner on April 1, 1996, and the vehicle and limousine carrier otherwise comply with this chapter.
