(1)(a) Effective July 1, 2017, the department of licensing may not issue any new wholesale vehicle dealer licenses.
(b)Effective July 1, 2018, the department of licensing may not renew any wholesale vehicle dealer licenses, except as provided in subsection
(2)of this section.
(2)The department of licensing shall renew a wholesale vehicle dealer license of a wholesale vehicle dealer who has held the license continuously for at least the previous six years from July 1, 2018, and who otherwise meets the requirements of this chapter.
