§ 806. Voting questions by Australian ballot
(a)The Selectboard or School Board of Trustees shall cause all questions to be voted by Australian ballot at any properly warned annual or special Town or School District meeting called on their motion or by petition.
(b)A question voted by Australian ballot shall be preceded by a public hearing for discussion to be held not less than one nor more than five days prior to the vote. (Amended 2021, No. M-16 (Adj. Sess.), § 2, eff. May 31, 2022.)
