§ 705. Brownell Library Trustees
The Brownell Library Board of Library Trustees that holds office at the time of enactment of this charter shall serve until their terms are completed. Any existing policies of the Library Trustees at the time of the enactment of this charter shall become the policies of the new Brownell Library Board of Trustees. The five permanent, self-perpetuating Library Trustees shall function in accordance with the terms of the Brownell Trust agreement dated May 25, 1925. The Library Trustees shall have the authority to establish any new policy for the operation of the Library or repeal or replace any existing policy and shall otherwise act in conformance with the Vermont statutes.
Notwithstanding the forgoing, the Library is required to follow all financial and personnel policies adopted by the City Council. (Added 2021, No. M-10 (Adj. Sess.), § 2, eff. July 1, 2022.)
