§ 3. Collector of Taxes
(a)The Prudential Committee shall annually appoint one or more Collectors of Taxes who shall collect all past due taxes and accounts, interest, and penalties owing on those taxes or accounts. All amounts so collected shall be promptly remitted to the Treasurer of North Branch Fire District No. 1.
(b)An appointed Collector of Taxes shall receive such compensation for his or her services as determined by the Prudential Committee.
(c)An appointed Collector of Taxes shall serve at the pleasure of the Prudential Committee and need not be a resident or voter of North Branch Fire District No. 1.
(d)An appointed Collector of Taxes may also be the Treasurer. (Added 2013, No. M-18 (Adj. Sess.), § 2, eff. May 20, 2014.)
