§ 208. Weighted voting
Each member of the Board of Supervisors shall be entitled to cast one vote for every 100 registered voters, rounded to the nearest hundred, in the municipality that the member represents. The number of votes entitled to be cast on behalf of the City of Rutland for voting purposes on the Board shall be divided equally among the three representatives of the City of Rutland. A member of the Board of Supervisors may not split his or her votes. The number of registered voters in each member municipality for voting purposes on the Board shall be based upon data compiled and issued by the Secretary of State in reference to primary and general elections.
If the Secretary of State ceases to keep and provide the data, the number of registered voters in each member municipality shall be based upon the checklist used at the last annual meeting of each municipality. (Added 2019, No. M-2, § 2, eff. April 19, 2019.)
