Code of Virginia § 18.2-323.01. Prohibition against disposal of dead body; penalty.

It shall be unlawful for any person to dispose of a dead body as defined in § 32.1-249
(i)on private property without the written permission of the landowner or
(ii)on public property.
A violation of this section shall be punishable as a Class 1 misdemeanor.
