75E-5-310. Notification of claimant -- Suspension of proceedings.
(a)The office shall immediately notify the claimant in writing of a compensation award and shall forward to the Division of Finance a certified copy of the compensation award and a warrant request for the amount of the compensation award.
(b)The Division of Finance shall pay the claimant the amount submitted to the division, out of the fund.
(c)If money in the fund is temporarily depleted, the office shall place claimants approved to receive a compensation award on a waiting list and provide the compensation awards as funds are available in the order in which the compensation awards are approved.
(2)The compensation specialist may suspend the proceedings pending disposition of a criminal prosecution that is commenced or is imminent.
