67-4a-705. Military medal or decoration.
(1)The administrator may not sell a medal or decoration awarded for military service in the armed forces of the United States.
(2)The administrator, with the consent of the respective organization under Subsection (2)(a) , agency under Subsection (2)(b) , or entity under Subsection (2)(c) , may deliver a medal or decoration described in Subsection
(1), to be held in custody for the owner, to:
(a)a military veterans organization qualified under 26 U.S.C. Sec. 501(c)(19);
(b)the agency that awarded the medal or decoration; or
(c)a governmental entity.
(3)On delivery under Subsection
(2), the administrator is not responsible for safekeeping the medal or decoration.
