58-72-302. Qualifications for licensure.
An applicant for licensure as an acupuncturist shall:
(1)submit an application to the division on a form the division approves;
(2)pay a fee to the division as determined under Section 63J-1-504 ;
(3)meet the requirements for current active certification in acupuncture under guidelines the National Certification Board for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine establishes as demonstrated through a current certificate or other appropriate documentation;
(4)pass the examination the division requires by rule;
(5)establish procedures, as the division defines by rule, which shall enable patients to give informed consent to treatment; and
(6)meet with the board, if requested, for the purpose of evaluating the applicant's qualifications for licensure.
