§ 2009bb–12. Authorization of appropriations

There is authorized to be appropriated to the Authority to carry out this subchapter $40,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2025 through 2029, to remain available until expended. Not more than 5 percent of the amount appropriated under subsection
(a)for a fiscal year shall be used for administrative expenses of the Authority. Notwithstanding any other provision of this subchapter, for any fiscal year, the aggregate amount of grants received by a State and all persons or entities in the State under this subchapter shall be not less than ⅓ of the product obtained by multiplying— the aggregate amount of grants under this subchapter for the fiscal year; and the ratio that— the population of the State (as determined by the Secretary of Commerce based on the most recent decennial census for which data are available); bears to the population of the region (as so determined).
