Section 1262, acts Sept. 3, 1954, ch. 1257 , title III, § 325, 68 Stat. 1161 ; June 30, 1955, ch. 247, § 9 , 69 Stat. 222 , provided for discharge or transfer to Retired Reserve of first lieutenants, captains, and majors.
