§ 579. TERMINATION.

Repeals.— Mark-to-market program .— Subtitle A (except for section 524) is repealed effective October 1, 2027 . Subtitle D (except for this section) is repealed effective October 1, 2004 . Exception .— Notwithstanding the repeal under subsection (a), the provisions of subtitle A (as in effect immediately before such repeal) shall apply with respect to projects and programs for which binding commitments have been entered into under this Act before October 1, 2027 . Termination of Director and Office .— The Office of Multifamily Housing Assistance Restructuring and the position of Director of such Office shall terminate at the end of September 30, 2004 .
Transfer of Authority .— Effective upon the repeal of subtitle D under subsection (a)(2) of this section, all authority and responsibilities to administer the program under subtitle A are transferred to the Secretary.”
