§ 300jj–37. General grant and loan provisions

The Secretary may require that an entity receiving assistance under this part shall submit to the Secretary, not later than the date that is 1 year after the date of receipt of such assistance, a report that includes— an analysis of the effectiveness of the activities for which the entity receives such assistance, as compared to the goals for such activities; and an analysis of the impact of the project on health care quality and safety. The National Coordinator shall annually evaluate the activities conducted under this part and shall, in awarding grants, implement the lessons learned from such evaluation in a manner so that awards made subsequent to each such evaluation are made in a manner that, in the determination of the National Coordinator, will result in the greatest improvement in the quality and efficiency of health care.
