“In this subtitle [subtitle G (§§ 7701–7704) of title VII of Pub. L. 108–458 , amending sections 262 o –2 and 262r–4 of Title 22, Foreign Relations and Intercourse]— the term ‘international financial institutions’ has the same meaning as in section 1701(c)(2) of the International Financial Institutions Act [ 22 U.S.C. 262r(c)(2) ]; the term ‘Financial Action Task Force’ means the international policy-making and standard-setting body dedicated to combating money laundering and terrorist financing that was created by the Group of Seven in 1989; and the terms ‘Interagency Paper on Sound Practices to Strengthen the Resilience of the U.S.
Financial System’ and ‘Interagency Paper’ mean the interagency paper prepared by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Securities and Exchange Commission that was announced in the Federal Register on April 8, 2003 .
