Authorization of Appropriations.— In general .— There is authorized to be appropriated $5,000,000,000 for the 5-year period beginning on October 1, 2022 to carry out the purposes of sections 5562 and 5563, which may be in addition to amounts otherwise made available for such purposes, in consultation with the appropriate congressional committees and subject to the requirements under chapters 1 and 10 of part I [ 22 U.S.C. 2151 et seq., 22 U.S.C. 2293 et seq.] and section 634A [ 22 U.S.C. 2394–1 ] of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 ( 22 U.S.C. 2151 et seq.).
Exception .— Section 110 of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 ( 22 U.S.C. 7107 ) shall not apply with respect to assistance made available under this subtitle. Compliance With the Foreign Aid Transparency and Accountability Act of 2016.— [Amended section 2(3) of Pub. L. 114–191 , set out as a note under section 2394c of this title .]
