§ 5549. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS.

Secretary of State .— The Secretary of State, in coordination with the heads of other relevant Federal departments and agencies as described in sections 5543, 5545, and 5546(a), shall— not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, submit to the appropriate congressional committees a comprehensive strategy to address the requirements described in sections 5543, 5545, and 5546(a); and not later than 2 years and 4 years after submitting the comprehensive strategy under paragraph (1), submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report describing the implementation of the strategy.
Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development .— The Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development, in coordination with the heads of other relevant Federal departments and agencies as described in sections 5544, 5546(b), and 5547, shall— not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, submit to appropriate congressional committees a comprehensive strategy to address the requirements described in sections 5544, 5546(b) and 5547; and not later than 2 years and 4 years after submitting the comprehensive strategy under paragraph (1), submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report describing the implementation of the strategy.
Submission .— The strategies and reports required under subsections
(a)and
(b)may be submitted to the appropriate congressional committees as joint strategies and reports. Appropriate Congressional Committees .— In this subtitle, the term ‘appropriate congressional committees’ means the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate and the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives.
