(a)In general Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the rate of basic pay payable to an individual upon appointment to a position with the Capitol Police shall be at a rate within the minimum and maximum pay rates applicable to the position.
(b)Effective date This section shall apply to fiscal year 2003 and each fiscal year thereafter.
