The Office of Management and Budget
(OMB)reviewed and approved the information collection requirements contained in this subpart and assigned OMB Control No. 0596-0101. The collection of information allows the Forest Service to approve or take other appropriate actions on surface use plans of operations; requests to waive, except, or modify lease stipulations; requests for reduction in reclamation liability; noncompliance issues; and notices of cessation of operations. The information collection requirements of this subpart are supplemental to the Bureau of Land Management's various Office of Management and Budget information collection approvals for issuing and managing Federal oil and gas leases, but primarily to the following: OMB Control No. 1004-0134 for 43 CFR 3162.3; and OMB Control No. 1004-0136 for Form 3160-3, Application for Permit to Drill.
