(a)The area. That portion of San Diego Bay southerly of Ballast Point, exclusive of the southwesterly portion of the restricted area described in § 334.612(b) located westerly of the entrance channel, bounded on the west by the shoreline at Point Loma, on the east by the entrance channel west project line, and on the south by latitude 32°40′.
(b)The regulations.
(1)The area is reserved for anchorage of vessels of the U.S. Government and authorized harbor pilot and patrol boats. All other craft may navigate and operate through the area, and temporary mooring of vessels (not to exceed 24 hours) is permissible.
(2)No other vessels shall anchor or moor permanently in the area except by special permission obtained in advance from the Commander, Naval Base, San Diego, Calif.
(3)The regulations in this section shall be enforced by the Commandant, 11th Naval District, San Diego, Calif., and such agencies as he may designate. \[30 FR 4756, Apr. 14, 1965. Redesignated at 50 FR 42696, Oct. 22, 1985\]
