§ 250.1600. Performance standard.

(a)All operations for sulphur exploration, development, and production on the OCS must comply with:
(1)A BOEM-approved Exploration Plan or Development and Production Plan;
(2)The applicable regulations in 30 CFR part 250; and
(3)All applicable laws, regulations, and conditions of approval.
(b)You must conduct such operations in a manner that protects against harm or damage to life (including fish and other aquatic life), property, natural resources of the OCS including any mineral deposits (in areas leased or not leased), the National security or defense, and the marine, coastal, or human environment. \[90 FR 36109, Aug. 1, 2025\]
