(a)Basis. Sections 2590.716-1 through 2590.725-4 implement sections 716-725 of ERISA.
(b)Scope. This part establishes standards for group health plans, and health insurance issuers offering group or individual health insurance coverage with respect to surprise medical bills, transparency in health care coverage, and additional patient protections.
