§ 19.493. Caution label for completely denatured alcohol.

A proprietor must place a label containing the words "Completely Denatured Alcohol" and the statement "Caution---contains poisonous ingredients" on each container of completely denatured alcohol containing five gallons or less that is sold or offered for sale. The label must be written in plain, legible letters. The proprietor may print the name and address of the denaturer on such label, but may not include any other nonessential matter on the label without approval from the appropriate TTB officer. The word "pure" may not appear on the label or the container. (26 U.S.C. 5206)
