§ 11.1200. Definitions.

For purposes of this subpart: Domestic violence means to inflict physical harm, bodily injury, or sexual assault, or the fear of imminent physical harm, bodily injury, or sexual assault on a family member. Family member means any of the following:
(1)A spouse;
(2)A former spouse;
(3)A person related by blood;
(4)A person related by existing or prior marriage;
(5)A person who resides or resided with the defendant;
(6)A person with whom the defendant has a child in common; or
(7)A person with whom the defendant is or was in a dating or intimate relationship. Parent means persons who have a child in common, regardless of whether they have been married or have lived together at any time.
