This subpart applies to the issuance of country-of-origin advisory rulings and final determinations relating to Government procurement under Title III, "Trade Agreements Act of 1979," Pub. L. 96-39, 93 Stat. 144, for the purpose of granting waivers of certain "Buy American" restrictions in U.S. law or practice for products for eligible countries. This subpart is intended to be applied consistent with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (48 CFR chapter 1) and the Defense Acquisition Regulation (48 CFR chapter 2). \[T.D. 83-13, 48 FR 1189, Jan. 11, 1983, as amended by CBP Dec. 08-25, 73 FR 40727, July 16, 2008\]
