The definitions applicable to this subpart are defined in section 2 “Glossary” of UL 1004-10:2022 (incorporated by reference, see § 431.482). In addition, the following definition applies: Basic model means all units of dedicated purpose pool pump motors manufactured by a single manufacturer, that are within the same equipment class, have electrical characteristics that are essentially identical, and do not have any differing physical or functional characteristics that affect energy consumption or efficiency.
