The regulations for the public use of records in the National Archives (36 CFR parts 1252-1258) govern the furnishing of reproductions of acts and documents and certificates of authentication for them. Section 1258.14 of those regulations provides for the advance payment of appropriate fees for reproduction services and for certifying reproductions. \[51 FR 27017, July 29, 1986, as amended at 54 FR 9676, Mar. 7, 1989\]
