Chap. XXXI.— An Act for the Relief of William Harding. Jan. 26, 1849. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, $100, the am’t of a certain penalty imposed on Wm. Harding, to be refunded That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to William Harding, out of any moneys in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of one hundred dollars, to refund that portion of a penalty imposed on said Harding which was paid into the treasury. Approved, January 26, 1849.
